Our city offers around 5000 parking spaces. 840 of them in short-term parking zones. Many long-term parking spaces - including a number of free parking spaces - are within a 4-minute ring (walk) to the main square.
As of January 1, 2025, parking in Villach became 10 cents more expensive. Electric cars are also subject to a fee. Here are the most important changes in detail:
Parking fees in short-term parking zones: Short-term parking zones and parking fees are as follows: Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. It's 70 cents per half hour, with a maximum of 180 minutes and the first 20 minutes are free. Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., there is free short-term parking with a maximum of three hours, after which the vehicle must be removed. Please enter the arrival time visibly in the car or please use a parking meter. During the week, it's possible to park for 20 minutes for free by indicating the arrival time. If you want to take advantage of the 20-minute free parking offer, you must enter the arrival time visibly in the car or please use a parking meter. From 6 p.m. until 8 a.m. the next day, parking is free in the whole city center, on Saturdays from 1 p.m. and on Sundays all day.
